Technology TuesdayPosted August 30, 2010 Tuesday the 31st will be our first Technology Tuesday for Parents! This first class will be an overview of Mac basics including how you do some of those things on a Mac that you are used to in Windows. The class is from 7pm-8pm, and will be in room 108. Bring a Mac if you have one (your child’s school computer will work if they aren’t using it), but we will have some available for use as well. Some upcoming topics we will be covering include using the web, iWork suite, iLife suite, and we will also be allowing for future session planning based on your feedback and questions. Wine Tasting FundraiserPosted August 29, 2010 Thank you, Anne and Dave Wolf, for hosting a wonderful wine tasting event at your home. Thank you as well to the volunteers, Roncalli students and Roncalli Jazz Band who dedicated many hours to make this event so enjoyable.
Many school parents, parishioners and friends of the school enjoyed the evening event and came together to purchase essential items for the school. The wish list developed by the staff included items such as a dishwasher, utensils for the new Café, computer headsets, cd players, math software and items for the new concession stand. Enroll Now!Posted July 01, 2010 Now is the time to enroll for the 2010-2011 school year at Saints Francis and Clare School. Two sections of preschool, kindergarten and first grade will be offered in the Fall with single sections of second, third, fourth and fifth grades. Congratulations!Posted May 26, 2010 Kayleigh Winter, a fourth grade student from Saints Francis and Clare School was awarded a $1,000 savings bond in conjunction with the “I Love To Read” challenge sponsored by WISH-TV8. This program encourages school-aged children to commit to 1,200-2,500 minutes of reading during a two month period. Nearly 5,000 students across the state competed, including all first through fourth grade students at Saints Francis and Clare School. Kayleigh completed the 2,500 minutes required and was entered into the drawing of fourth grades students who met the challenge requirement. Congratulations, Kayleigh, on this outstanding accomplishment!
